Terms of Service
Last updated September 30, 2026
These terms apply to the Mingo apps and website, operated by Mingo Application LLC ("Mingo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Mingo you agree to them. If you use Mingo for Business, the business terms below apply too.
1. Your account
You must be old enough to use apps like Mingo where you live, and at least 13 years old. Keep your sign-in secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or as described on our account deletion page.
2. Recommendations and listings
Places, events, hours, prices and distances come from businesses and other sources and can change. We can't guarantee they're accurate or available. Check the details before you go. Directions and weather are for convenience; follow traffic laws and local conditions.
3. Your safety
Mingo Match, meetups and private events help you meet people. Mingo Match is only for people 18 and older, and we use the birthday on your profile to check this; don't give a false birthday. We don't run background checks. Meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and use your judgment. Some events are 18+ or 21+; follow the age limits and drink responsibly.
4. What you post
You're responsible for what you share, including posts, reviews, photos, comments and messages. Don't post other people's private information, content you don't have the right to share, or anything illegal, hateful or harassing. You give Mingo permission to display what you post in the app so others can see it. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. You can report any post, comment, review, meetup, person or chat in the app, and block anyone so you no longer see their content or messages. Content reported by several different people may be hidden automatically while we review it. We review every report within 24 hours.
5. Points and rewards
Points have no cash value and can't be sold, transferred or exchanged for money. Businesses set their own rewards, which may change or end. Check-ins are verified; points earned by cheating are removed and accounts can be suspended. Points you've earned at a business stay yours if that business's subscription ends, but its rewards pause until it's subscribed again.
6. Businesses on Mingo
Businesses are responsible for their own products, services, events and promotions. Mingo isn't a party to what you buy or book from them.
7. Mingo for Business
- Accurate listings: keep your profile, events, promotions, prices and hours accurate, and honor the offers you publish.
- Laws and permits: you're responsible for the licenses, permits, safety rules, age limits, alcohol laws, accessibility and advertising rules that apply to your business and events.
- Rewards you offer: while subscribed, you agree to honor the rewards customers redeem with the points you issue. Points come from your plan's monthly pool.
- Check-in codes: show your check-in code only at your venue. Don't share it online or give points to people who didn't visit.
- Private events: hosts are responsible for their guests' safety, for having permission to use the venue, and for who they invite. Keep invite codes private.
- Photos and videos: only upload media you have the right to use and that is appropriate for everyone.
- Mingo's role: Mingo is a platform that connects you with customers. It isn't your agent and isn't responsible for disputes between you and your customers or guests.
8. Subscriptions and payments
Business plans are billed through Stripe in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are listed on our pricing page. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged the prorated difference for the current period; downgrades and billing changes take effect at the next renewal. If a subscription ends, your public events and promotions stop showing and your rewards pause. See refunds and cancellations. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of a plan you're on.
9. Ending or suspending access
You can stop using Mingo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms, abuse points or check-ins, or put others at risk.
10. Limits of liability
Mingo is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Mingo isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses that come from businesses or events listed in the app or from other users. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we'll show the new date here and tell you in the app about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA. Questions: mingotech@icloud.com.
